Armscor Bursary South Africa

This bursary is aimed at addressing the critical science and engineering skills of the defence industry. It aims to promote skills like mathematics, science, and technical subjects at school.

The Armscor Bursary South Africa is open to students from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them to fulfill their dream in the science and engineering field.

Armscor Bursary Eligible Field

The Armscor Bursary will be awarded to students in the following field of study;

• Aeronautical Engineering
• Applied Mathematics
• Biochemistry
• Chemistry and Physics
• Computer Science
• Electronics/Electrical (Light current) Engineering
• Human Kinetics & Ergonomics Science
• Industrial Engineering
• Information Technology
• Material Sciences
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Metallurgy Engineering
• Naval/Marine Engineering

Bursary Value

The Armscor Bursary will take care of the following student expenses;

• Tuition fees
• Accommodation and meals
• Prescribed books
• Vacation work (Where possible)

Armscor Bursary Eligibility Requirements

All applicants are expected to meet the following Armscor Bursary eligibility requirements to qualify for the bursary;

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Applicants must be interested in working for the defence industry
• Achieved levels of 5, 6, and 7 in Mathematics, Physical Science, and English
• Already studying or intending to study in one of the above fields of study
• Applicants must have excellent academic Results

How to apply for Armscor Bursary

To apply for the bursary, obtain the application form and submit a clear certified copy of the following documents;

• Your ID document
• Matric Mid-year results, if currently in Matric
• Matric certificate for those that have completed Matric
• Full academic record, if currently at tertiary level
• Parent(s) or guardian(s) ID documents
• Parent(s) or guardian(s) proof of income(latest payslips/employment letter/SASSA grant letter/affidavit for informal traders)
• Death certificate of parent or guardian if deceased

In the final stage of the bursary selection, the following documents will be requested by the bursary board;

• Final Matric results
• University acceptance letter or proof of registration
• Student number
• Fees statement, if currently at tertiary level

The closing date for the Armscor Bursary is 22 February 2022. Late application or submission is not accepted.
