Sassa Child Support Grant Payment Date for July 2022

Sassa on a monthly basis, distributes this grant to the qualifying caregivers across South Africa. The grant is meant for taking care of the basic needs of the child. Even if it is received by the caregiver who is an adult, the money is for the child’s needs.

Child Support Grant is one of the many social grants administered by the South African Social Security Agency in South Africa. This grant is meant for children under the age of 18 whom their caregiver does not receive income more than as stipulated below.

Requirements for Child Support Grant

Requirements to receive a child support grant include being a primary caregiver, meaning the person responsible for the child should be a South African citizen or permanent resident, receiving less than R4 000 per month and if married, getting R8 000 per month combined salary.

The child must be under 18 years old, not be in the care of a state institution and live with the primary caregiver in South Africa, who is not paid to look after the child.
