What does waiting for approval mean at NWU? Please consult this guide for clarification regarding the status of your North West University application.

SUBJECT TO SELECTION

The course you applied for includes a selection process. It is VITAL that you study the selection criteria for the specific course available at: http://www.nwu.ac.za/student/selection

SUBJECT TO FACULTY

A final decision regarding your application will be made by the relevant faculty based on your results at the end of the year.

SUBJECT TO FIN GR 12

Your application has been approved based on your current results. You still need to meet the minimum requirements for your intended course of study based on your final grade 12 results.

WAITING LIST

Due to reasons pertaining to capacity restrictions your application has been placed on a waiting list. Should capacity allow, your application may be reconsidered after the official closing date of 30 September.

WAITING FOR APPROVAL

Your application to the NWU has been received and is currently being considered. If you did not receive feedback within 3 weeks after submitting your application, you may contact one of the departments indicated above.

NEXT CHOICE BEING CO

If one or more of your indicated choices is unsuccessful or on a waiting list, this status indicates that your next reasonable choice is currently being considered.
